Ce procédé consiste à porter le pH de la solu- tion à une valeur de 1 à 3, puis à ajuster le pH de ladite solution et à le maintenir -a une valeur de 2,5-3 en élevant la température à une valeur d'environ 30 à environ 60°C, pendant une durée suffisante pour qu'il y ait précipitation sélective d'au moins 70 % du zirco- nium, tandis que l'uranium reste à l'état soluble.
