ABSTRACT 23189-6056 A process for the preparation of a 1-(2-oxyaminosulphonyl-phenylsulphonyl)-urea of the formula Image in which R1 is an optionally substituted radical from the series comprising alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, aralkyl and aryl, R2 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted radical from the series comprising alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl and aralkyl, and R3 is an optionally substituted and/or optionally fused six-membered aromatic heterocyclic radical containing at least one nitrogen atom, comprising reacting water with a benzodisultam of the formula Image at a temperature between 0°C and 100°C.
