ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A clothes hanger with a suspension hook, where a continuous slot, lying essentially in the plane of the hook, is situated in the area of the top of the curve of the suspension hook. A rod is pivotably mounted in this slot in such a fashion that its free end can swing between two terminal positions, in which it extends below or above the curve of the hook.
