ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrical connector. assembly is presented wherein a cord attachment such as a plug or strain relief is mechanically anchored to an electrical cord. The anchoring is effected by a series of bridges integral with and connecting opposing sides of molded cord fitting, the bridges passing through and interlocking with the walls defining the series of holes formed in the cord. The series of holes is punched or otherwise formed in the webbing of the electrical cord. As the fitting is molded over the perforated portion of. the cord, molding material fills the holes forming the bridges which constitute a positive mechanical bond for the electrical connector assembly.
