ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A protective fence to cover a front side of working area of the press is disclosed, in which said protective fence is divided into upper and lower plural sheets and, when said protective fence is closed, i.e. the press is in use, said plurally divided fence members are lowered ver- tically to cover the front side of working area and, when said protective fence is opened, i.e. the press is unused, if the lowest fence member is lifted up, said plurally divided fence members can respectively be raised to a posi- tion superposing with the uppermost fence at a synchro- nized speed.
