-1- TITLE OF THE INVENTION Power Train Unit Mounting Structure ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Herein disclosed is a power train unit mounting structure for mounting a power unit on the vehicle body of an automotive vehicle, the power train unit including an automotive engine and a transmission having a transmission housing, the automotive engine and the transmission operatively connected to and arranged in line with each other in a fore-and-aft direction of the automotive vehicle, the power train unit mounting structure including a front mounting assembly structurally intervening between the automotive engine and the vehicle body and resiliently supporting the automotive engine and a rear mounting assembly structurally intervening between the transmission housing and the vehicle body and resiliently supporting the transmission housing, wherein the rear mounting assembly comprises a pair of vibration dampening devices structurally intervening between the body structure and said transmission housing in horizontal directions substantially perpendicular to the fore-and-aft direction for absorbing horizontal vibrations produced in the power train unit and the body structure.
