ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A window squeegee has a scraper blade attached to an attachment portion of a handle and comprises a flat rubber strip retained by a metal retainer member of U- shaped cross-section having first and second legs in clamp- ing engagement with the rubber portion, including at least one shoulder adapted to abut against the first leg and a tongue integral with the handle and adapted to abut against the second leg. The tongue is resiliently biased for abut- ment against the second leg and for pressing the first leg against the shoulder and is provided with a ridge directed towards the scraper blade for reception within a cut-out portion in the second leg. The ridge acts against an edge of the cut-out portion for retaining the scraper blade relative to the attachment portion.
