D-06-12-1014 COATING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING ALLYLIC ALCOHOL INTERPOLYMERS ABSTRACT A coating composition comprising an intimate blend of a polymeric binder and from about 200 to about 1000 parts of an inert finely divided pigment per 100 parts by weight of polymeric binder. The binder contains a major proportion of a low molecular weight interpolymer comprising a monovinyl aromatic monomer, a C3-C7 allylic alcohol and optionally a monocarboxylic acid ester of a C3-C7 allylic alcohol, and a minor proportion of high molecular weight interpolymer. The coating composition is useful in the preparation of electrographic recording materials.
