ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Window casements supported at their upper ends at the top of a window frame for swinging movement from a position in engagement with the window frame to a position standing angularly away from the window frame, said casements being comprised of light-transmitting material and having at their upper and lower ends openings paralleling the top and bottom of the window so that they will be in communication with the interior of the house when the upper sash is lowered and lower sash raised and slats in the casement rotatable about a horizontal axis comprised of a heat-absorbent material and wherein the casements are movable laterally from a position covering the sash to a position laterally thereof at opposite sides for storage when not in use.
