ABSTRACT It is an object of the invention to provide a simple economic packaging device that can be easily applied to articles to be packaged to secure them for conventional transport. A paperboard container according to this invention comprises a sleeve adapted to extend around articles to be packed. The said sleeve has three adjacent foldably-connected panels that extend its length. The fold lines of the foldably connected panels are parallel to each other. The middle panel of the three panels is of lesser width than the other two such that the panels can be folded with a toggle action about their fold lines to reduce the circumferance of the sleeve as the middle panel is moved to lie in juxtaposed relation to and between the other two panels; the said juxtaposed panels are adapted for securement in said juxtaposed relation to lock an article within said sleeve. - 1 -
