ABSTRACT DAMPING TREATMENT FOR PIPES AND BODIES (Figure 2) A damping treatment for bodies where the temperature may rise above about 150°C consists of a number of stand-of cantilever, sandwich type dampers 1, consisting of a layer of visco-elastic material 3 sandwiched between two rigid metal plates 4,5, which are attached to a support 2 that can be attached to the body 7. The support 2 is thermally isolated from the body 7 and is positioned at a position of high amplitude of a radiating frequency that is to be reduced.
