FIBER-REINFORCED METAL COMPOSITE MATERIAL Abstract of the Disclosure: The invention provides a fiber-reinforced metal composite material comprising a metal or an alloy as the matrix and an inorganic fiber as the reinforcing material. The matrix also contains at least one element selected from tin, cadmium and antimony in the form of the unreacted element or its organic or inorganic compound in an amount of 0.0005 to 10 % by weight (calculated in terms of the element) so as to enhance the mechanical strength of the composite material.
