ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A part of the light energy transmitted through an optical conductor is diverted and taken out of it, by means of a device made up four optical conductor rods. The first of these has a through-hole in a radial direction, into which the second optical conductor rod is tightly inserted up to a half way position and firmly fixed therein. The edge surface of the second optical conductor rod in the through-hole is formed on a surface inclined in relation to the direction of the first optical conductor rod's axis. The third optical conductor rod is tightly inserted into the remaining portion of the through-hole, the edge surface of the third optical conductor rod in the through-hole being formed so as to be engaged with the inclined surface of the second optical conductor rod. The fourth optical conductor rod is firmly fixed on the outer circumferential surface of the first optical conductor rod to cover the inserted portion of the second optical conductor rod. The third optical conductor rod has a groove formed along the direction of the third optical conductor rod's axis and the inclined surface of the third optical conductor rod is fixed leaving a predetermined distance or gap between it and the inclined surface of the second optical conductor rod.
