ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosure herein describes a reference electrode which comprises a silver-silver chloride chip and a housing having an internal cavity filled with electrolyte; the cavity has a first opening across which the chip is disposed and a second opening spaced from the first opening. The electrode is used in potentiometric analysis of ion activity in a solution.
