ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is disclosed by which friction losses are reduced in the transport or circulation of liquids through conduits or onto bearings. A liquid to be transported or circulated is admixed with specified amounts of selected friction reducers including organo-polymeric microfibrils, metal and ceramic whiskers and organic compound whiskers that are insoluble and highly dispersible in the liquid, whereby friction loss reduction can be greatly enhanced.
