Perfluoroalkyl Amphoteric Compounds Abstract of the Disclosure Perfluoroalkyl thioalkylene amphoteric compounds of the formula Image wherein Rf is a perfluoroalkyl, R1 is alkylene or alkyleneoxy or amino- alkylene, R2 and R3 are hydrogen, alkyl, or together form a ring, R4 is hydrogen or alkyl unsubstituted, or substituted by an anionic function, Z is alkylene and Y is an anionic function, and the acid adduct, alkaline salt or alkyl quaternary ammonium salts thereof. These compounds are useful as surfactants.
