ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for producing a preserved fish food from fresh or live fish food wherein the fresh or live fish food such as brine shrimp, tubifex worms, earthworms, plankton and the like are placed in an anhydrous liquid desiccant such as propylene glycol and allowed to stand for a sufficient period of time to dehydrate the fresh or live fish food to an equilibrium level, and after removing the supernatant liquid, a preservative liquid may be added to the preserved fish food to produce a storage stable, preserved fish food, and the products produced by the process.
