MOVABLY SUPPORTED SCREW PRESS ABSTRACT A screw press, and more particularly a pressurized screw press having a driving end where such driven end is pivotally mounted and the other end rests in a cradle. The pivotal bearing is advantageously provided at the driving end of the screw press and has a clearance for movement in the direction of the axis of rotation. By the aid of this mounting breakages of the screw press casing are avoided when operating conditions comprise pressure and varying operating temperatures.
