"PLASTIC FISHING SPOON TYPE LURE" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spoon type lure is made of plastic and is pre- ferably transparent and colored. The lure is lightweight, non-corrosive, rustproof and requires no paint which may chip or peel. If scratched, it can readily be buffed back to its original state. Being transparent or translucent, it will reflect light both from and through it in all di- rections during use. Although the surface is normally smooth giving a prism effect, it can, if desired, be im- pressed with a plurality of depressions giving a much greater reflective and refractive characteristic which under good light conditions will give a sparkling effect. The lure can be used for trolling, casting or jigging and due to the high reflective and refractive characteristics, can be more effective in deep or dark waters. In one em- bodiment, a bait type object such as an artificial minnow may be embedded into the transparent plastic.
