Abstract of the Disclosure A door (or window) weather seal for attachment to a door frame, the seal operating upon the closing of the door to assume a sealing position in sealing engagement with the door and door frame. The seal comprises a flexible substantially impermeable sheath encasing the combination comprising a first seal member, a displaceable seal member and coupling means coupling the first and displaceable seal members together. The coupling means produces a tendency of the displaceable seal member to occupy a rest position relative to the first seal member in the absence of a displacement force acting on the displaceable seal member. In the presence of a displaceable force acting on the displaceable seal member, the displaceable seal member pivots away from the first seal member to assume a sealing position. The sheath protects the operating combination from freezing and provides an exterior seal surface suited to assume a close sealing position with the door and frame when displaced to a sealing position.
