ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A topical anthralin cream composition in which the anthralin demonstrates improved stability, comprises from about 0.05% to about 5% by weight of anthralin in a water: fluid hydrocarbon emulsion having a weight ratio of at least about 5:1, at least one anionic emulsifying agent, at least one oil soluble anti-oxidant, at least one water soluble acidic material, and at least one bifunctional sequestering agent.
