PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF GASTRIC HYPERACIDITY, GASTRITIS AND GASTRODUODENAL ULCERS Abstract of the Disclosure Pharmaceutical compositions are described which comprise as the active ingredients alginic acid and tri-(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane in the ratio by weight between 1:0.7 and 1:2. The compositions give a pH of 6-9 when dissolved in water in the amount of 5% weight/volume. The compositions have activity in the treatment of gastric hyperacidity, gastritis and gastro-duodenal ulcers.
