ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The horizontal disposition of an alphabetical keyboard is transferred into a generally vertical arrangement suitable for hand held computers. The left hand extremes of the Q, A and Z rows are disposed one above the other to facilitate orientation for a user accustomed to a standard typewriter keyboard. Several embodiments are disclosed.
