Abstract Insecticidally and acaricidally active novel substituted furazanes of the formula Image in which R1 and R2 each independently is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio or optionally substituted aryloxy, or R1 and R2 together are an optionally substituted alkylene radical which is interrupted by 1 or 2 oxygen atoms, R3 and R4 each independently is hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, halogenoalkyl or halogenoalkoxy, and X is oxygen or sulphur.
