ABSTRACT A machine for the automatic preparation of a beverage The invention relates to a machine for the auto- matic preparation of a beverage from a cartridge containing the product to be extracted, comprising a pump (16) for delivering a liquid, a system (28) for heating said liquid and an extraction mechanism (29). The machine comprises: - at least one assembly of slide magazines (6) for housing the cartridges to be extracted, said cartridges being freely displaceable in said magazines, - at least one conveyor belt arranged below a maga- zine (6) so as to advance the cartridge selected in order to position it and - at least one distributor (31) co-operating with and arranged in front of said magazine (6). and said conveyor belt (17) and consisting of a wheel (31) with three recesses corresponding to the three positions of the cartridge to be extracted, namely its position- ing, its extraction and its ejection, said cartridge co-operating in the second position with the ex- traction mechanism (29) to deliver the beverage into a receptacle arranged underneath.
