ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A container assembly, favorably used as a perfume bottle, is generally spherical or sphereoid and opens from the bottom. A closure, preferably in the form of a ground-glass stopper, forms the base of the bottle. To apply the perfume, a user can pick up the bottle and invert it, then remove the stopper and apply perfume from the stopper where desired onto the body. In a normal, resting orientation, the sphereoid bottle rests on the stopper, and the weight of the bottle serves to ensure that the bottle is securely closed.
