ABSTRACT: A pneumatic tyre, including at least one reinforcing member comprising elastomeric ply (20) reinforced by discontinuous cords (15). The cords (15) each comprises two linear portions (16) and (17) extending transversely of the ply, and which are joined at one edge (21) by arcuate portions (18). The free ends (19) of each cord (15) are located between the linear portions (16) and (17) of another cord (15a) adjacent the arcuate portion (18).
