GAS/LIQUID/SOLIDS SEPARATOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for separating the exhaust fumes of an internal combustion engine into its three components, gas, liquid, and solids com- prising a container into which exhaust fumes are fed, impinging the inlet stream against a wall and reducing its velocity sharply, allowing the liquid and solids to collect in the bottom of the container through a demister filter, a liquid level senor, preferably connected to an alarm when a maximum level is reached, a valved outlet for the liquid which is forced out of the container by the pressure of the incoming fumes when a plate cover is pressed down over the gas outlet, and a pivoted bar in the container to break up any solids deposit therein.
