ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flexible holder is disclosed for use with disposable filter bags in making tea or the like. The holder is of the type of a ring with a slot and with grips for contracting the ring to thus facilitate the assembling of the holder with the filter bag. Seating supports for placing the holder on a kettle or the like are formed by lower faces of the grips and of a handle. The entire combination of the holder is integral, preferably made of plastics. It is thus inexpensive, facilitates packaging and is simple to operate.
