Abstract of the Disclosure A procedure is described for the production of potassium sulfate from potassium chloride using an anion exchanger charged with sulfate ions; according to the procedure a reaction solution consisting of a saturated potassium chloride solution is saturated with potassium sulfate and then brought into intensive contact with the exchanger from which it is then separated once more; the crystals formed in the solution are then separated from it while the spent anion exchanger is regenerated by bringing it into intensive contact with a magnesium sulfate solution and/or sodium sulfate solution.
