ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Measuring apparatus for non-conducting (electrically) flowing fluids in a flow path includes first means in said flow path for generating a voltage-time trace by charge transfer induction. Second means in said flow path, downstream of the first means, generates a voltage-time trace by charge transfer induction; and means mount the first and second means in the flow path electrically isolated from surrounding structure. Means are provided for cross-correlating voltage-time trace produced flow segments of a cryogenic fluid passing through said passage and said first and second means, and means are provided for determining the time interval between appearances of correlated voltage-time trade at the first and second means and for gener- ating velocity as a distance/time quotient.
