PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne une tôle ou bande en acier ferritique inoxydable de composition (% en poids): (C+N) < 0,060 Si < 0,9 ; Mn < 1 ; Cr 15 à 19 ; Mo < 1 ; Ni < 0,5 ; Ti < 0,1 ; Cu < 0,4 ; S < 0,02 ; P < 0,045 ; Zr est compris entre 0,10 et 0,50 étant entendu que Zr est compris entre 7 (C+N) - 0,1 et 7 (C+N) + 0,2 ; Nb est com- pris entre 0,25 et 0,55 si Zr ? 7 (C+N), ou entre 0,25 + 7 (C+N) - Zr et 0,55 + 7 (C+N) - Zr si Zr < 7 (C + N) ; Al est compris entre 0,020 et 0,80 et est essentiellement en solution solide ; le solde étant composé de Fe avec éventuel- lement des impuretés. Cette tôle ou bande est fabriquée selon un procédé comportant un recuit final effectué entre 980 et 1020°C, typiquement 0,5 à 5 mn entre 990 et 1010°C. La tôle ou bande de l'invention est utilisable pour toute application demandant un compromis économique de ductilité (tôle et soudures), de résistance à chaud et de résistance à la corrosion, comme par exemple dans les collecteurs d'échappement automobile.
