ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An antihypertensive and antianginal combination comprising (A) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an asymmetrical dihydropyridine of the formula Image in which R1 and R5 each independently is methyl, hydroxymethyl or cyano, R2 and R4 are always different from one another and each independently is alkyl with 1 to 10 carbon atoms optionally substituted by alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, fluorine, chlorine or N-methyl-benzylamino, R3 is nitro, chlorine, trifluoromethyl, or =N-O-N=, and n is 1 or 2, and (B) about 10 to 200 parts by weight of a .beta.-blocker without a local anesthetic action.
