Abstract of the disclosure The invention relates to titanium-, zirconium and/or hafnium-containing zeolites, to a process for their preparation, and to their use. They are prepared by mixing, for example, titanium, zirconium and/or hafnium compounds with aluminum, silicon, sodium and potassium compounds and water in specified mixing ratios and heating the mixture in a sealed vessel. The zeolites are used as catalysts in the preparation of C2-C4-olefins from methanol.
