ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Viscous gel-type ester mixtures of reaction products of fatty acid-polyol partial esters and .gamma.-glycidyl- oxypropyl-trialkoxy silanes, which optionally can contain dicarboxylic acids as further reaction components, as well as processes for their production are proposed. The ester mixtures are especially provided as additives to oily liquids for the production of gels or for the increasing of viscosity. Furthermore spreadable preparations of one component of oily consistency and preferably one active substance contained therein are proposed which, through contents of the new ester mixtures, consisting of the reaction products of partial esters or polyols of aliphatic monocarboxylic acids and optionally of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, with .gamma.-glycidyl-oxypropyl-trialkoxy silanes, possess high adhesion to the skin, are washable with difficulty from the skin and provide a skin wettable with difficulty.
