ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for producing olefin polymers which comprises polymerizing at least one olefin in the presence of a catalyst system comprising (A) a solid catalyst component obtained by the contact reaction between (a) a magnesium compound of the formula Mg(OR1)nx2-n, in which OR1 is an alkoxy group or an aralkoxy group or an aryloxy group, x is a halogen atom and n is a number satistfying 0.5 ? n ? 2, and (b) a titanium compound of the formula (B) an organoaluminum compound as an activating agent.
