Abstract of the disclosure: Urethanes which contain perfluoroalkyl groups, epi- chlorohydrin groups and dialcohol radicals, the preparation and use thereof The novel urethanes, in addition to at least one per- fluoroalkyl group, also contain epichlorohydrin groups and dialcohol radicals in the molecule. They are pre- pared by reacting a fluorine-containing alcohol with epichlorohydrin to give the perfluoroalkyl-epichlorohyd- rin adduct, reacting this adduct with a di- or triiso- cyanate to give the perfluoroalkyl-epichlorohydrin-iso- cyanate adduct and by reacting this adduct with a dial- cohol or a monoetherified dialcohol to give the desired urethanes having a perfluoroalkyl group and having epi- chlorohydrin groups and dialcohol radicals, and by reac- ting a suitable urethane compound of this type with a perfluoroalkyl-containing di- or triisocyanate to give the desired urethanes having a plurality of perfluoroal- kyl groups and having epichlorohydrin groups and dialco- holradicals. The novel urethanes are preferably used for the oleophobic and hydrophobic finishing of textiles.
