Within each upright or support stand of the roll stand arrangement there is provided a guide frame which is guided within a window of the related support stand together with mounting elements for the back-up or support rolls. Within the guide frame there are guided the mounting elements of the work rolls in slide elements. There are simultaneously pivotably supported in the slide elements the shaft or bearing journals of the support ledges.
