ABSTRACT A rolling firedoor having a closure drum on which a closure is wound, and a chain drive for rotating the drum to raise or lower the closure. The chain drive is disconnected from the drum during a fire. Means are provided for reconnecting the chain drive to the drum from the ground so that the door can be raised in an emergency.
