PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne la préparation de nouveaux dérivés du 4-(lH-indol-3-yl) .alpha.-méthyl pipéridin-l-éthanol et de leurs sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables, de formule générale: Image (I) dans laquelle R représente un atome d'hydrogène ou d'halogène, ou un radical alkyle ou alkoxy renfermant de 1 à 5 atomes de carbone, nitro, amino, trifluorométhyle ou méthylthio, R1 représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un radical alkyle ren- fermant de 1 à 5 atomes de carbone, R2 représente un atome d'hydrogène, un radical alkyle renfermant de 1 à 5 atomes de carbone ou un radical hydroxy, Ar représente un radical aryle ou hétéroaryle éventuellement substitué et le pointillé représente la présence éventuelle d'une liaison carbone- carbone. Les dérivés de formule (I) précités et leurs sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables sont utiles comme médicaments.
