- 1 - Abstract of the Disclosure A multilayer molded article having improved appearance and feel is produced by a process comprising wetting a skin material having a fabric or a thermoplastic resin sheet as its outermost layer with at least one liquid material selected from the group consisting of water, an aqueous solution, a volatile material that is liquid at atmospheric temperature and pressure and a solution comprising this volatile material as a medium. The wet skin material is mounted between male and female molds, and a thermoplastic resin melt is supplied between the molds, after which the molds are closed to form a multi- layer molded article comprising the skin material and the thermoplastic resin integrated with each other.
