Phenolic thiane derivatives of the formula I or II Image (I) (II) Image in which n is 0, 1 or 2 and R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, T and Z are as defined in claim 1, are effective stabilizers for colour photography recording materials, in particular for the yellow layer. They act not only as light stabilizers but also as stabilizers against thermal oxidation.
