NESTABLE CONTAINER HAVING INTEGRAL HINGED LID ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A nestable container comprising a receptacle and an integral, hinged lid. The receptacle has a base, an open top, and side walls extending from the open top to the base in an inwardly tapered fashion. The receptacle also has an expanded portion joined to the side walls and forming at least a part of a rear wall for the receptacle. The expanded portion includes a distention in each of the side walls at the rear of the container. The lid is shaped to conform to the open top of the receptacle and can be folded open against the rear wall to co-extend with the rear wall such that like containers can be nested one within the other with the lid extending into the expanded portion of the receiving receptacle. In one embodiment, the lid is shaped to be releasably held against the rear wall, while in a second embodiment, the lid is shaped to lie flat against the rear wall when nested within a second container.
