ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An optical memory device comprising a first light- permeable substrate, a second light-permeable substrate and a plurality of strip-shaped optical recording layers that are disposed with a gap between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the optical path length from the outer surface of the first substrate to the recording layers is approximately equal to the optical path length from the outer surface of the second surface to the recording layers.
