A pharmaceutical composition for treatment of mastitis in animals and humans comprises a mixture of a decoction and an ammonia-solution infusion of the following medicinal herbs taken in equal parts by weight: wild chamomile, pot marigold (flowers), stinging nettle, common centaury, pine buds, common plantain, birch buds, pot marjoram, garden sage, garden angelica, dandelion, coltsfoot (leaves), great burnet, common valerian, peppermint, common thyme, tripartite bur-marigold. The decoction and infusion are present in a ratio such that the pH value of the mixture is not less than 7.4.
