Title ELECTRICAL EDGE CONNECTOR FOR A SUBSTRATE ABSTRACT An edge connector for electrically contacting a substrate. The substrate is held within connector housing by the force provided by a clamp means hingedly disposed within a cutout in the housing. The clamp means includes a spring portion, a clamp portion and a strike portion. The insertion of the substrate causes the clamp means through the action of all three portions to secure the substrate within the housing. The substrate can be released by hand.
