Abstract Pressure regulating valve To regulate the pressure of a liquid, particularly in a high- temperature pasteurizer or sterilizer, the valve comprises two chambers separated by a membrane integral with a valve pin. The pressure on the side of the liquid to be treated is always higher than that of the control air by virtue of the fact that the surface on which the compressed air acts is larger than that contacted by the liquid. This enables the installation to be kept sterile even in the event of a leak in the membrane. The valve is particularly suitable for ultra-high- temperature sterilizers with direct injection of steam. Fig. 1
