- 23 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The removal of H2S gas from a normally gaseous stream is accomplished with an absorbent solution contain- ing a solvent and a nitrogen heterocyclic tertiary amino- alkanol or aminoetheralkanol or a tertiary amino azabi- cyclic alcohol or ether alcohol. In a preferred embodi- ment, the gaseous stream also contains CO2, and the H2S is selectively removed from the stream. The most preferred alcohol herein is tropine.
