ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A charging generator for a car comprises a rear bracket fitted to one end of a stator assembly. A recess is formed in the edge of the lower wall of the bracket, where it is fitted to the stator assembly. A short drain hose extends from the recess to prevent the ingress of material attached to the outside of the generator. The manufacture of the rear bracket is thus simplified.
