ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Crystalline platinum or palladium aluminosilicates are prepared by incorporating platinum or palladium onto the aluminosilicate and mixing with a methanol synthesis catalyst. Conversion of synthesis gas to low molecular weight hydrocarbons with high selectivity employing these platinum or palladium aluminosilicates as catalysts are also disclosed.
